Literature Text

(Y/n) was sat on the small seat in front of the instrument she loved, alone, staring blankly at the monochrome keys. Should I tell him? She let her thoughts wander, closing her eyes as a sigh left her lips. Is he okay with me?

The blue door creaked as she slid it open, and she entered the room she considered her haven. Making her way towards her seat, she took off the red cloth on top of the black and white keys of the piano.

Her fingers placed themselves on top of the keys, knowing immediately the notes to the song she wanted to play. She pressed softly on them, letting herself hear the sound of the beautiful instrument before starting to sing along with her music.

“(Y/n),” she heard him call out her name, and her eyes darted open. She turned to look at her lover standing by the sliding door, his red, gentle eyes staring at her (e/c) ones. “You’re not playing?”

She shook her head. Why can’t I tell him how I feel?

“Were you waiting for me?” He teased, entering the music room, not keeping his eyes off of her as she looked away, a blush creeping onto her cheeks. “N-no!” She denied, only to hear him chuckle at her. I’m just being myself.

“Shall we play?” He asked, and the (h/c)-haired girl scooted over to the left to let him sit beside her. He sat down on the red seat, placing his fingers on the piano keys as he scrolled through the notes of the duet piece she picked out.

“You have a beautiful voice,” someone said, surprising her. She had stopped playing by now, her (e/c) eyes widened in shock at the man by the doorway. Her cheeks reddened as she thought about him listening to her song when she assumed no one was there.

“I’m n-not that good.” She stuttered and looked away, hiding her blushing face. It wasn’t often that she got to talk to anyone; she wasn’t very good with words. She hoped that the man would leave her alone. Instead, he walked over to her, and only then did she look up at him, noticing how red his hair was.

“Would you like to play?”

“Seijūrō-kun,” (Y/n) said, not lifting her eyes from the piano keys as her fingers danced gracefully on the notes, creating a melody that was in sync with his. He hummed in response. “Are you—” She paused, choosing her words before continuing. “Are you happy with me?”

His fingers froze when her question registered in his head, making the song come to an abrupt end. Hearing him stop, she did the same, too.

“Why do you ask?” He questioned, the tone of his voice making it sound like a statement. “I—” She started, but then shook her head, looking away. It wasn’t a good idea. “Never mind.”

“No, tell me.” He grabbed her wrist, making her turn her head to face him at the sudden touch. It’s so hard to tell you. She felt her cheeks burn when she realized that he was sitting so close to her this entire time.

Do you love me? She wanted to say something, to tell him how she really felt. Are you happy with how I am?

“It’s nothing.” But she couldn’t. Her eyes gazed everywhere, looking at anything other than his fierce eyes.

“What? I don’t even know you.” She turned away from him, crossing her arms in annoyance. He chuckled, and she faced him to give him a small glare. “D-don’t laugh!”

“I’m Akashi Seijūrō.”
Let’s be friends. He introduced himself, earning a puzzled expression on her face. She hesitated on giving him her name. Are you sure you want to be friends with me?

Saa!

“Come here,” he pulled her closer to him by the wrist, letting her head rest on his shoulder. His right hand was wrapped around her waist as his left stroked her (h/c) hair. “I-I just—!” She tried speaking clearly, but fumbled over her words. “S-Seijūrō-kun, I... D-do you—”

“—Do you... like me?”

“Yes,” came his reply. He said it so firmly, without any sign of hesitation. “Do you?” He asked back, his low voice soothing to her ear.

“Y-yes!” She answered a little too loudly, making her blush harder in embarrassment. “Y-yes, but...”

She kept silent, not knowing what else to say. She pulled away from him, her lips curled upside down as she finally, finally, met with his red eyes. Are you sure you want to love me?

Daisuki da banzai!

Yes, were the words left unspoken by him as he caressed her cheek, using his thumb to stroke her face before he leaned in to press his soft lips against hers, gently, careful not to break her fragile heart.

“I-I’m (L/n) (Y/n).”
